The Tuggeranong Adult Riding Club is proud to host this year’s competition on the 30th May at Equestrian Park, Cotter Rd, Curtin. 

To enter this event you must be a current full member of TARC, MARC, MEA or BRC.

This is one rider / one horse for the event.

Please select one level only and select every event in this level you wish to enter. If you do not select an event you will not be able to ride i it on the day. Please then select ONE showjumping round to ride.

A draw will be sent out to all compeitiors in the week before the event with any other relevant information.

The following is general information about the way the day will run, levels, classes, facilities and dos and don’ts. If you have a question that isn’t covered in the information for competitors, please email tarcnews@mail.com and we’ll be happy to help you. Up for grabs is the STARCC Perpetual Trophy. The biggest team isn’t always the winner – scoring is weighted to reflect the size of your club. You’ll earn points for every event you participate in, so go out there and do your best!

There are four levels and five events for you and your horse to excel at: Dressage - Preparatory to Novice  Hacking - Handler, Mount, Rider, Pairs  Show Jumping - Ground Rails to 90cm  Handy Horse - Show us how versatile your horse is!  Sporting - Bonfield Bounce, Clover Leaf, Western Bending and 3 Mug Race

Levels

There will be four levels for competitors to enter based on which paces they can perform and how comfortable they are at that level. Please choose carefully and ensure that when you register, you only make selections from one level. If you make selections from multiple levels, you will be allocated the highest one.

Level T

Walk and trot only for beginners, green horses and nervous riders. There is no cantering at this level. Riders cantering at this level will be disqualified.

Dressage level: Preparatory C.

Showjumping: Riders in this level may enter Ground Poles or X Rails only

Level A

Walk, trot, beginnings of canter (encouraged but not required). Riders are ready to move up from the walk-trot ring but aren’t quite ready for the Intermediate. If you have established paces or have won in a Novice ring (or similar) at an EA, ARC, Breed or Agricultural event please move up a level.

Dressage level: Preparatory D.

Showjumping: Riders in this level may enter Ground Poles, X Rails or 45cm only

Level R

This level is for riders who are confident at a walk, trot and canter.

Dressage level: Preliminary 1A

Showjumping: Riders in this level may enter any level of showjumping

Level C

Walk, trot, and canter well established with some collection and extension. For more experienced riders and regular competitors.

Dressage level: Novice 2A

Showjumping: Riders in this level may enter any level of showjumping
